Below are just a few examples of Island made furniture. They are pretty typical of what you could expect to find when you visit The Weathervane. These beauties have already found a happy home, and I just couldn't let them go without photographing them for posterity. Most if not all our finds are circa 1840 to 1890 and local to the island. Painted pieces generally (but not always) get blade stripped then refinished with several applications of Swedish Teak Oil. A hand buffed paste wax application provides protection and luster.
